The XYLOCUT 310 PE cutting grapple assists landscapers, municipalities, foresters, or tree service companies in thinning forests and maintaining roadside areas. It enables the mechanization of pruning or felling trees up to 310 mm in diameter, from cutting to deposition.
Adaptable to mini-excavators, this felling equipment allows for precise handling in confined spaces.
Its cutting system is achieved through two clamps and a knife. The wood is held in place during cutting and then deposited using the upper clamp. The lower clamp, on the other hand, is positioned against the wood and serves as a guide for the knife. The knife, mounted on a mobile assembly, cuts the wood like a guillotine, providing a clean cut with a force of 36 or 45 tons.
For increased production, an accumulator clamp allows cutting in bunches, ideal for cutting small-diameter wood.
This cutting grapple ensures optimal ergonomics and adaptation. To facilitate its setup and ensure optimal grip, it has hydraulic tilting.
Versatile, this cutting grapple offers both handling and cutting functions. The housing protecting its components and its construction in HLE steel allow intensive use, ensuring operator safety.
