Firewood processor : XYLOG 410/411

The XYLOG 410 and XYLOG 411 firewood processing machines are high-performance units designed to meet the needs of firewood producers. Their circular saw blades with carbide-tipped teeth allow all types of wood – even dry and very hard timber – up to 410 mm in diameter to be cut quickly and easily. The blade’s open-tooth design minimises noise during sawing. Designed to be resharpened approximately every 5,000 stères, maintenance and servicing requirements are significantly reduced.
These versatile machines allow you to select a cutting length between 200 and 500 mm. The XYLOG 410 and XYLOG 411 models share the same cutting and splitting capabilities, whilst offering configurations tailored to each user’s needs. The XYLOG 411 notably features a hydraulic accumulator-powered blade return mechanism and an adjustable pusher stroke, enabling cycle times to be optimised according to log length.
For the splitting operation, RABAUD has chosen to offset its splitter to allow for better positioning of the log in the splitting channel. The splitting cross is hydraulically adjustable in height to centre the log and produce logs of equal size. It is also interchangeable: 2, 4, 6 or 8 splits are possible, allowing the user to select the log diameter, optimise production or adapt to the type of wood.
The large-diameter pusher covers the entire surface of the log for better power distribution, which varies automatically according to the resistance of the wood, up to 16 tonnes of thrust.
The wood is discharged via a manual or hydraulic conveyor belt, allowing for high-level unloading into a skip, depending on the version, the conveyor can be swivelled to the right or left for greater versatility.
With no complex electronics, the XYLOG combination machines prioritise ease of use and maintenance. Routine maintenance tasks can therefore be carried out directly by the operator.
